When I was a six year old girl, I would wake up to the smell of my grandmother's homemade baking powder biscuits.
When I was a six year old girl, my favorite TV show was Beverly Hills 90210. I thought that Brandon was cute, and that Kelly had the best hair. My mother used to let me stay up late in her bed to watch the show with her. It was our special girl time. Then, on Saturday mornings, she would try to copy Kelly's hairstyles on me. When I was a six year old girl, my favorite restaurant was McDonald's. It wasn't taboo then, and I loved collecting the toys from the Happy meals.
When I was a six year old girl, I loved to dance. I lived in large suburban house with a picket white fence and winding staircase that gave way to a grand hall with black and white tiling. Those stairs and that hall were my stage. Every night, I would blast my favorite tunes, and put on a show. I would dance my little heart out to such hits as Marky Mark's Good Vibrations, Madonna's Vogue, and later, the Dance Mix '94 compilation. I was quite the performer!
