From 3.1 Philip Lim...

I love the simplicity of these looks, and how the small details like the skinny belts make all the difference. These are looks that I can easily make my own by simply stocking up on skinny belts at the local thrift store.
From Chanel...

I really like the shape of the first dress. It has structure and the a-line skirt is so feminine. For the second look... I love androgyny... I have found some of my favorite pieces in F.'s closet. But, here the proportions are different from what I have been seeing these days; that is what initially attracted me to this look.
From Chloé...

I have never dared to wear denim on denim, but this first look makes me want to try it out. Besides, I own a purse just like the one that the model (Iselin Steiro) is wearing. The second look is perfect for work: simple, clean, and tailored... always my favorite for the office.
From Erin Wasson X RVCA...

Erin Wasson's clothing for RVCA is very rock'n'roll, maybe too much even; but she plays with shapes and fits in such a carefree way. There is nothing I love more than loose, old t-shirts and a pair of jean shorts in summer; and this one has the whole "matelot" look going on.
From Karl Lagerfeld...

Ok, I adored everything in Lagerfeld's collection. These two were my favorites, but I suggest looking over the whole collection because his use of the short is just brilliant.

From Luella...

I have always loved Luella for its offbeat girlieness. This season her dresses are great, but this red one reminds me of a nineties power dress with a twist. Luella had a ton of polka-dots for spring; this cigarette pant and sweetheart top reminds me of something Audrey Hepburn would have worn in Sabrina.
From Marc by Marc Jacobs...

Whenever I go to the States, I always head straight to Bloomies to find a great Marc piece on sale. I never quite find any like these though. The first dress has such great color and is easy to pull off, and I am just dying to wear a bustier under high-waisted pants!
From Stella McCartney...

Stella McCartney's designs always have such a flow to them. I have always been both attracted and impressed by her work. This second look is by far my favorite of what I have seen of the Spring 2010 collections. It's feminine, sexy, and original. I love it from the fit of the pants, to the lace, to the way the belt is tied. I chose to also include the first look because I am desperately seeking a one-piece bathing suit that looks like this (though I am not sure if this is supposed to be a bathing suit).
Bref... I could post much more. There so many great designers; this is but a small sampling of what caught my eye last September and that I am eager to try out by the time I can walk again...
Hands down, Chloé is doing really good. Erin Wasson is good enough for me, unless I can pair it with my legs and heels. Stella McCatney= best eco-friendly designer without a doubt and...my love, i'm sad to announce you that Luella is now bankrupt....sooooo, no pretty heart dress. :(
ReplyDeleteI am usually not a big fan of Marc Jacobs, but i Loooooovvvved is S/s 10. First of, because he's sick (and so am i...) of the never ending trend of everyone wearing studded everything and dark stuff. His line was to cut with that fashion tendency and I love it for that.
